What a Difference!

Today I thought I would share how subtle shading can change the look of the teddy bear's face and sculpted paw pads.

The first photo is of a bear I created this week.  It is before I added any shading to the face or paw pads.

In the second photo, I add shading around the eyes, the nose and chin area.  See what a difference it can make!

For the paw pads, I shaded and blended the color to make the sculpted toes stand out.  I also added shading around the top of the ears.
Now that I have used techniques to add dimension and expression to his soulful face and paw pads, he is ready for a neck bow and a hug.
