DONNA HAGER

Hager Bear teddy bears are designed and handmade by Donna Hager. She began her passion for teddy bears as a collector, but it wasn't long before she decided to try her hand at bear making. After working with acrylic fur for a while, Donna took a class from a top bear artist and learned how to work with mohair.

One of her first mohair bears, named Amanda after her daughter, won a Golden Teddy Award, one of the highest honors in the teddy bear artists' world. Donna now uses fine German and English imported mohairs, hand blown glass eyes, and ultra suede or wool felt for paw pads.

Donna attends around 10 shows a year. Her bears are available in shops scattered all over the U.S. and they can also be seen at the Teddy Bear Museum in Naples, Florida and The Hankone Teddy Bear Museum in Japan. It is Donna's sincere hope that the original Hager Bear you select will become a treasured family heirloom for generations to come.
